Revision as of 07:15, 27 February 2010
The following guns were used in the film “Marathon Man”.
Colt Commander
Thomas Levy (Dustin Hoffman) owns a Colt Commander, inherited from his father.
Why is it a Colt Commander? Looks a lot like a standard 5" to me. --Lastgunslinger 21:28, 6 January 2010 (UTC) It has the round Commander hammer and if you look closely at the front slide bevel, it is Commander length. It also seems there is a difference in the finish between the frame and the slide, which may mean it is a lightweight Commander.
Smith & Wesson Model 36
Janeway (William Devane) carries a Smith & Wesson Model 36 Chief's Special.
Walther P38
One of Szell’s men uses a Walther P38.
Heckler & Koch G3
The guard in South America carries an early H&K G3 with wooden forearm and buttstock.
Unidentified Revolvers
The bank guard carries an unidentified revolver.
All the gang members breaking into Levy’s apartment seem to have 22. LR revolvers (unknown).
