The Shootist is the 1976 western that marked the final role for John Wayne. In the film, Wayne plays an aging gunfighter dying of cancer who faces one last duel.

Colt Single Action Army
The Colt Single Action Army is used by several characters in the film including J.B. Books (John Wayne) and Jack Pulford (Hugh O'Brian).
Remington 1866 Derringer
J.B. Books (John Wayne) carries a hidden Remington 1866 Derringer, and uses it at the beginning of the movie
Great Western

Winchester Model 1892
Books also carries a Winchester Model 1892 rifle with a large loop lever, just like the one he used in other films like True Grit. The rifle is never seen fired.
"Coach" shotgun
A double, short barreled shotgun also is used in the film.
Smith & Wesson New Model No.3
Jack Pulford (Hugh O'Brian) carries a Smith & Wesson No.2 break-top revolver with a 6" barrel.
