The Winchester Model 1300 shotgun first appeared in 1978. It was an updated shotgun inspired by the Winchester model 1200 (which debuted in 1964).  Unlike the blued Model 1200, the Model 1300 is coated with a proprietary non-glare finish and uses both steel and composite materials in it's construction.
