this isn't a Colt Commander.  Look at the hammer and the grips.  Also the safety lever/decocker mounted on the slide.  It's a Smith and Wesson semi-auto with a 4-inch barrel.  Can't see it clearly enough to tell you the model, though.

In this sequel to the 1987 movie Stakeout, Seattle Detectives Chris Lecce (Richard Dreyfuss) and Bill Reimers (Emilio Estevez) are assigned to a stakeout of a possible mob witness.

Sniper Rifle

There is a long barreled pistol, done up as a rifle (it is a Clone of a Colt Single Action Army pistol) that has a carbine length bull barrel, and a bipod and black synthetic buttstock. It commonly appears in television shows filmed in Canada and is apparently common in Canada, but nearly non-existent in the United States. Since the 'shootout' scenes of this film were done in British Columbia, I assume that this is another one of those weird hybrid handgun/rifles that I've seen so many Canadian Armorers use.
