LAPD Det. Mitch Preston (Robert De Niro) is seen carrying a Beretta 9000S at the beginning of the film. He hides it in a large slush cup when he goes to a gun buy.

Throughout the rest of the film, Mitch carries a Smith & Wesson 4505 as his main sidearm.
Beretta 92FS Pistol
The Beretta 92FS is the main sidearm of LAPD officer Trey Sellars (Eddie Murphy) at the beginning of the film.

When Trey is partnered with Mitch, he switches to a Beretta 92SB Silver for the remainder of the film.
