A signature weapon used throughout the movie, most notably the main character John Smith (Bruce Willis) who has two matched pairs of M1911A1 pistols in a shoulder rig, and often uses both guns akimbo style. It is also seen in the hands of some of the Irish and Italian mobsters in the movie.

Another common weapon in which we see the Irish and Italian mobsters use. In one gunfight an Irish mobster is seen trying to kill Smith (Bruce Willis) with tow Smith & Wesson revolvers, but is killed easily.
