To say something about this game, it's kinda like the game "Black" also made by EA games, with the destructible background, except in this game, you can blow up more stuff and it's a ''bit'' more realistic. Automatic weapons have unrealistic ammo capacity for every single gun. Also the reload is also sometimes tedious and unnecessary. If you are in the middle of a mag and change out, the game makes the character reload, but also pull the charging handle and for guns like the 416, smack the forward assist, which is a pain when in the middle of a firefight or when a hostile pops out after you inserted a new mag, discarding a half mag. | To say something about this game, it's kinda like the game "Black" also made by EA games, with the destructible background, except in this game, you can blow up more stuff and it's a ''bit'' more realistic. The following weapons are used in the video game Battlefield: Bad Company:
To say something about this game, it's kinda like the game "Black" also made by EA games, with the destructible background, except in this game, you can blow up more stuff and it's a bit more realistic.
For the reasons of marketing, EA made it annoying to get 5 particular weapons without doing something that seems tedious like pre-ordering the game, played the demo, register for newsletter, check player stats online, or become a veteran.
To add a note from playing this game again. Every single gun aside from pistols are all lefty style. The ejection port is on the left sides of every single gun except for the AN-94. The only rifle that is a true right handed weapon would be the bolt action sniper rifles. The weird thing is that the M16 and the 416 that have ejection ports on the left - the forward assist is on the other side. As well if one looks closely during the reload animation on certain guns, the mag release is on the left. This makes no sense at all. We can only assume the creators did this for aesthetic reasons.
Assault Rifles
Assault Rifles are used by Assault Troops and all are fitted with Grenade Launchers and Iron Sights.
H&K 416 with M203 Grenade Launcher
Standard issue weapon to US Assault troops. One would think that a version used by the US military would use AR style iron sights instead of the H&K style sights. Also, on close inspection, the 416 you use has the ejection on the left side. So it's a lefty 416 which hasn't been actually produced yet. It is odd that you start out with this rifle, but your character is right handed. It is used by Sgt. Redford and Pvt. Marlow (Player Character) as their main weapons of choice. The three basic Assault Rifles in the game all behave in exactly the same way for balance purposes; this includes the AEK971, the AUG, and the H&K 416.
FN F2000 with EGLM Grenade Launcher
The FN 2000 is the weapon unlocked by going on the EA website and registering your other battlefield games for "veteran" status. It is characterized by an insanely high rate of fire and moderate accuracy, making it extremely effective at close range.
Heckler & Koch XM8 w/ M320.
The XM8 is a high rate of fire assault rifle with good accuracy, but is not generally used because of its low damage. Used by some of the Legionnaire's Assault troops.
The grenade launcher used on this gun is the M320. A grenade launcher based on the German AG36. It will replace the M203 and was built for all current M-16s, M-4s, and XM-8s.
Steyr AUGA3 - w/ M203.
Standard issue to MEC Assault troops. This has the same statistics as the other two starting assault rifles, namely the AEK971 and H&K 416.
AEK-971 with GP30
Standard issue to Russian Assault troops. The one in game is the proposed production version instead of the preliminary prototype pictured here. This has the same statistics as the other two starting assault rifles, namely the AUG and H&K 416.
AN-94
Used by some Russian assault troops. Comes with a GP-30 Grenade Launcher. The AN-94 has a clear sight picture, very high rate of fire and good accuracy balanced by low damage. It's considered one of the best rifles in the game, next to the M16.
M16A3
The M16A3. It is used by some of the Legionnaire's assault troops. The most accurate and powerful assault rifle in the game. Considered one of the two best rifles in the game, along with the AN-94.
Sub-Machine Guns
The SMGs are all fitted with suppressors in game, and are used by Specialist Troops. Ironsights are not usable.
9A-91 Rifle
Standard issue to MEC Specialist troops. This has the same characteristics as the other two starting SMGs in the game, namely the AKS-74U and the FN SCAR.
AKS-74U
Technically this is a carbine, firing rifle rounds, not a real SMG. It is standard issue to Russian specialist troops. This has the same characteristics as the other two starting SMGs in the game, namely the 9A-91 and the FN SCAR.
PP-2000
Used by some Russian specialist troops. This weapon has the highest rate of fire of any gun in the game, but poor accuracy and damage.
FN SCAR
Don't know why they class a full-sized assault rifle as an SMG, especially the SCAR. Standard issue to US Specialist troops. This has the same characteristics as the other two starting SMGs in the game, namely the AKS-74U and the 9A-91.
Heckler & Koch UMP
Used by some of the Legionnaire's specialist troops. The UMP has the slowest rate of fire of the SMG class, but the best damage and accuracy.
Uzi
The Uzi has middling statistics with the exception of handling, It is only available to those who played the demo up to maximum level.
XM8 Compact Carbine
More or less an XM8 shortened. Strangely another carbine classed as an SMG. The XM8 carbine is a middle of the road weapon, with no standout qualities, resulting in virtually no usage online.
Sniper Rifles
The Sniper Rifles are standard issue to recon troops in the game.
GOL
A German made sniper rifle used by MEC recon troops. This has the characteristics of the other two sniper rifles in the game, the M24 and the SV-98.
M24 Sniper Weapon System
Standard issue to US recon troops. This has the characteristics of the other two sniper rifles in the game, the GOL and the SV-98. The M24 is considered to have the best scope reticule.
SV-98
Standard issue to Russian recon troops. This has the characteristics of the other two sniper rifles in the game, the M24 and the GOL.
Barrett M95
Used by some US and Legionnaire's recon troops. The M95 is depicted as having a 5 round magazine, likely for game balance purposes. It is by far the strongest gun in the game, being able to be used as an anti-aircraft gun.
Norinco QBU-88
A semi-automatic sniper rifle unlocked by pre-ordering the game.
SVU
Used by some Russian recon troops. The SVU is a semi-automatic sniper rifle equipped with a suppressor. It has enough power that players can take down helicopters in only a couple magazines.
VSS Vintorez
The VSS is the highest capacity and highest rate of fire sniper rifle available, but also does little damage. It has enough accuracy that some players can actually use it unscoped at close and medium range.
Handguns
Beretta M9
The handgun that is paired with the Barrett M95 and other American guns. Somehow this pistol is more effective than some assault rifles.
MP412 REX
The revolver that is paired with the GOL sniper rifle and other Middle Eastern guns. Deadlier than even the M9.
MP-443 Grach
The pistol that is paired with the SV-98 and other Russian guns. Similar stats to the M9.
Shotguns
Shotguns are the primary weapons of Demolition Troops in the game.
Remington 870MCS
Standard issue to US Demolition troops. Used by Pvt. Haggard as his main weapon in the game. This weapon has the same characteristics as the other starting pump-action shotgun in the game, the TI-94.
NS2000
Used by some Legionnaire's demolition troops. The Neostead shotgun is the most accurate and therefore the best shotgun in the game at range, but its tight spread makes it harder to fight at close range.
Saiga12
Standard issue of Russian demolition troops. Called the S20K in game, it is the only semi-automatic starting shotgun available.
SPAS12
Used by some of the Legionnaire's demolition troops. It is identical to the two starting pump-action shotguns in the game aside from the handling statistic, which is slightly higher due to its short length; the stock is never shown extended. It is incorrectly used as pump-action only.
SPAS-15
The SPAS-15 is a semi-automatic shotgun.
T194
Standard issue to MEC demolition troops. This weapon has the same characteristics as the other starting pump-action shotgun in the game, the Remington 870 MCS.
USAS12
The USAS12 is a semi-automatic shotgun with more damage and lower capacity than the SPAS-15 that is unlocked by checking your characters game statistics on EA's online service.
Light Machine Guns
Light Machine Guns are the primary weapons of the Support Troops in the game.
Heckler & Koch MG36
Used by of the Legionnaire's support troops. Why the creators could add the MG variant of the G-36 and not include the assault rifle version is beyond us. The MG36 is accurate, but not very powerful. It is widely used because the reflex optic makes it the easiest to aim accurately at long range, acting as a makeshift scope.
M249 SAW Para
Standard issue of US support troops, and to Pvt. Sweetwater. This has the same characteristics as the other two starting LMGs in the game, the PKM and the QJY-88.
M60
The M60 is the most powerful LMG in the game, and is unlocked by registering for the online newsletter.
PKM
Standard issue of Russian support troops. This has the same characteristics as the other two starting LMGs in the game, the M249 Para SAW and the QJY-88.
QJY88
Standard issue of MEC support troops. This has the same characteristics as the other two starting LMGs in the game, the PKM and the M249 Para SAW.
XM8 LMG
The XM8 LMG is a middle of the road weapon, and not widely used. Used by the Legionnaire's support troops.
MG3
The MG3 is the highest rate of fire LMG in the game, but is also a little weak and very inaccurate.
Rocket Launchers
These weapons are used by the Demolition Troops in the game.
AT-4
Standard issue to US Demolitions troops and to Pvt. Haggard.
RPG-7
Standard issue to Russian demolition troops.
Carl Gustav
Used in the final battle against the Legionnaire. Standard issue to MEC demolition troops.
