Could these be Vector Z-88s? I say this because in the last picture, I do not see the traditional Beretta roundel. Revision as of 02:17, 1 November 2009
The following guns were used in the movie Vantage Point
SIG-Sauer P229
All the Secret Service Agents including Thomas Barnes (Dennis Quaid) and Kent Taylor (Matthew Fox) carry the SIG-Sauer P229 as their standard sidearms. The agents use this weapon in a .357 Sig round. There is also a continuity error when Dennis Quaid is seen firing many more rounds than the magazine holds before reloading. The gun only holds 13 rounds; 12 in the magazine, and 1 in the chamber.
Are you sure that this gun is chambered for .357 Sig ammo?
There is a scene in the beginning of the movie, where Thomas Barnes is loading up his P229 pistol. A round at the top of the magazine can be seen, and it looks like more a 9mm FMJ round.
Beretta M92FS
The Beretta M92FS is carried by all the terrorists in the film which includes Kent Taylor and Javier (Edgar Ramirez) during the police car scene; the Spanish policeman; female terrorist Veronica (Ayelet Zurer) and the terrorist head Suarez (Saïd Taghmaoui). There is also a continuity error with these pistols. the are "fired" but then immediately shown with the hammer forward.
Could these be Vector Z-88s? I say this because in the last picture, I do not see the traditional Beretta roundel. Instead, there appears to be a triangle.SAWGunner89 00:55, 23 August 2009 (UTC)
Glock 17
A Glock 17 is used by the former special forces soldier Javier (Edgar Ramirez) who kidnaps the real President. The one shown in the film features a stainless steel slide and a suppressor. Might be a G17-Pro.
Heckler & Koch MP5A2
The H&K MP5A2 is seen throughout the film in the hands of Spanish police officers, some seen with two magazines strapped together.
Heckler & Koch PSG-1
A Heckler & Koch PSG-1, mounted on an automated platform, is used by the terrorists to conduct the initial attack on the President. The PSG-1's distinctive wooden grip is featured during the scene when agent Taylor disassembles it.
Remington 700
The Remington 700 rifle appears in the hands of Secret Service snipers in the film, fitted with folding bipods. A few rifles actually may be M40's, but most of the close-up shots use R700's.
