:I'm talking about the gun being used every goddamn day for a hundred years, not being used for a few years then put in a warehouse for the better part of a century or sitting in somebodies collection, only being shot every once in a while. If it were used the way I am talking about, the gun would have exceeded it's service life a couple dozen times-[[User:S&Wshooter|S&Wshooter]] 23:07, 22 October 2009 (UTC)

::How many guns do you know of that were used every '''"goddamn"''' day for a 100 years?  That's also a ridiculous scenario. [[User:MoviePropMaster2008|MoviePropMaster2008]] 23:35, 22 October 2009 (UTC)

100 year old guns

After a 100 years of use, all of those guns would have smooth bores-S&Wshooter 20:37, 21 October 2009 (UTC)
Okay. That comment makes no sense. We're not talking constant use here. If that were the case, all my Mosin Nagant M1891s or Gewehr 98s would be smooth bore muskets now would they? MoviePropMaster2008 21:26, 21 October 2009 (UTC)
Hope they keep up on maintainance. Although I wouldn't be surprised if there were a few dozen original production AK-47's being used currently, so at the very least, it's conceivable for there to be AK's/Type 56's functioning after a century of use. I don't know about the HK45 though. I doubt its as rugged as the Kalashnikov. W190009637
