Steyr AUG
The sniper rifle that Boyette (Tommy Lee Jones) uses in the assassination attempt at the end of the film is the Steyr AUG. It is fitted with scope and silencer. A duplicate Steyr AUG is found in the office of the decoy Walter Hanke.
M1911A1
Sgt. Johnny Gallagher (Gene Hackman) uses the M1911A1 in the diner shootout. General Colson and his bodyguards draw their M1911's at the beginning of the film after they are ambushed.
Smith & Wesson Model 29
The snub version of the S&W Model 29 is the main sidearm of Chicago PD Lt. Milan Dilech (Dennis Franz).
Smith & Wesson Model 15
Lt. Col. Eileen Gallagher (Joanna Cassidy) carries a snub version of the S&W Model 15 in her briefcase and uses it during the garage shootout.
Smith & Wesson Model 469
One of the gunmen at the diner shootout uses a S&W Model 469. The fake MP left behind to guard Gallagher draws a S&W fitted with a silencer that Gallagher later is able to retrieve after he subdues him.
Beretta 92F
Several bad guys use the Beretta 92F in the film.
Walther PP series
The driver at the end of the film pulls a Walther PP series pistol fitted with a silencer. Strangely, the gunshot sounds unsuppressed when he fires the weapon.
