Smith & Wesson Schofield

Charlie Prince (Ben Foster) is carrying two 1875 Schofield Calvary model revolvers made by Smith & Wesson. The revolver breaks open allowing quick access to the actual 6 chambers allowing for quick reloading. They are named after Major George W. Schofield and shot the .45 long colt ball round which had a speed of 1000ft/s delivering 566 ft-lbs of energy. It was a very accurate round and is said to be able to knock a man to the ground with one shot.
