Superman II is a film that was released in 1980 as a sequel to the 1978 film Superman. Originally filmed back to back with the first film, production conflicts led to the firing of the original director Richard Donner. The film was completed under the director of Richard Lester. In 2006, Richard Donner's original vision for the film was released under the title: "Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut".
