When Sheriff Byrd (Dick Sargent) was briefly introduced to replace Rosco, he too carried an Official Police. It is also the sidearm of Texas Ranger Jude Emery (John Shearin) during his episode. Sheriff Buster Moon (James Hampton), another potential Rosco replacement, uses an Official Police in his episode.
Since they are on probation, Bo Duke (John Schneider) and Luke Duke (Tom Wopat) are forced to use a Martin Warthog bow and arrow, often with dynamite attached, as their weapon.
