This film should not be confused with the 1978 film of a similar title, Inglorious Bastards, The.
The firearms seen in the upcoming World War II Quentin Tarantino film Inglorious Basterds include the following...
M1 Garand
Used by the Basterds.
Mauser Kar98k
Used by German soldiers and the Basterds.
MP40
Germans and Basterds were using MP40s throughout the entire movie.
MG42 machine gun
Seen held by Hugo Stiglitz
Walther PPK
A British soldier disguised as an SS lieutenant points his Walther PPK at the crotch of Major Hellstrom of the Gestapo. Bridget later picks up this gun and uses it to shoot Wilhelm.
Unknown Pocket pistol
This weapon is used by Shosanna Dreyfus (Mélanie Laurent) to shoot Pvt Fredrick Zoller (Daniel Brühl).
Walther P38
Colonel Landa, and several German officers and Aldo Raine (Brad Pitt) at the end of the movie
Luger P-08
Fredrick Zoller carries one of these while attending the premiere of his movie.
Double Barreled Shotgun
The owner of the basement pub in which the shootout between the undercover bastards and the Nazi soldiers and officer occurs can be seen holding and later using an unknown double barrel shotgun. While not able to tell for certain the weapon appears to be hammerless.
- Sorry, the shotgun you refer to positively has hammers. I thought, given the tense, pin drop nature of the scene, will the barman cock them? He'll be heard for sure. So yes, hammers.
Unknown sawn-off shotgun
When the bastards break the Nazi traitor who murdered 13 officers out of prison in the hopes of him joining their ranks, one of the bastards can be seen holding a shotgun sawn down to the lenght of large handgun/small carbine. (The weapon appeared only briefly and I could not determine whether it was a break-open or pump action design.)
- It could have possibly an Ithaca 37 sawed off or a Remington pump action, but not the 870.
- The 870 image was included as a generic example of a cut down pump shotgun.

The gun is a sawn off over and under shotgun.
OSS Pistol Glove
used by two members of the basterds when assassinating the German high command. In real life these weapons were loaded with a .38 round and as seen in the film were punched into their target.
