Military Use?
Has Single-Barreled Shotguns had any usefulness in the military (from the second half of the 19th century and later)? Single-Shot Rifles have had a lot of use, have the same kind of Shotguns been used in any noteworthy amount? Thanks in advance. Z008MJ (talk) 08:39, 20 April 2013 (EDT)
- Not to my knowledge. Single-shot shotguns have a very low practical rate of fire that makes them unsuitable for any serious fighting. They've seen plenty of guerrilla use (there's photos of one being used by a separatist in Ukraine), but they wouldn't be useful for anything except single shot training.
