The Flying Deuces is a 1939 comedy movie directed by A. Edward Sutherland. Stan and Ollie are on vacation in Paris. Ollie falls in love with Georgette, the hotelier's pretty daughter. When he proposes to her, he discovers she is married to the officer Francois. Out of disappointment and frustration, Ollie wants to drown himself in the Seine. He sees it as Stan's duty as a friend to drown himself with him. Then an officer appears, Georgette's fiancé Francois, unbeknownst to Ollie, and suggests that Ollie join the Foreign Legion so that he can forget his grief.
