Lloyd Avery II (1969 - 2005) wields a Short-Barreled 12-Gauge Double-Barrel Shotgun as a gangster in Boyz N The Hood.

Lloyd Avery II (1969 - 2005) was an American actor who was a high school friend of director John Singleton. Singleton jump-started Avery's acting career by casting him in a short but memorable role as a Blood gang member who kills one of the main characters in Boyz N The Hood. Although he came from a middle-class background and had never been in a gang prior to his casting in Boyz N The Hood, Avery subsequently became obsessed with living out his most famous film role and eventually joined a Blood gang in real life. After being cast in several more films throughout the 1990s, Avery was arrested in December 1999 for a double homicide and sentenced to life in prison at Pelican Bay State Prison. He was murdered by his cellmate in 2005.
