There Will Be Blood is a 2007 historical drama film directed by Paul Thomas Anderson. Set in the late 19th to early 20th centuries, the film follows Daniel Plainview (Daniel Day-Lewis) and his rise from impoverished miner to wealthy oil baron. While his ruthless methods lead to success and great wealth, it may come at the cost of his humanity and the few remaining human connections he has.
