Richard Marvin "Dick" Butkus (1942-2023) was an American actor and former  Hall of Fame NFL linebacker who appeared in such films as ''[[The Longest Yard (1974)|The Longest Yard]]'' and ''[[Johnny Dangerously]]'' as well as such television series as ''[[Blue Thunder (TV Series)|Blue Thunder]]'', in which he co-starred with fellow former NFL player [[Bubba Smith]]. He passed away in October of 2023 at the age of 80.
