Hellbound (Korean title: 지옥, Jiok; lit. "Hell") is a Korean fantasy-thriller television series by Yeon Sang-ho. The series follows multiple characters investigating the appearances of mysterious supernatural beings that tell people the date of their death and personally mutilate and incinerate them once their time has come, and two groups using the appearances and actions of these beings to control the masses for their own gains.
The show was released to Netflix in 2021 to critical acclaim, with a second season being announced in late 2022. The character of Jung Jin-su, originally played by Yoo Ah-in was also announced to be recasted following the latter's illegal substance abuse charges, being replaced by Kim Sung-cheol.
