Doberman Cop (Japanese title: ドーベルマン刑事, Dōberuman deka) is a 1977 hardboiled crime drama film based on the original 1975-1979 manga series of the same name. The film stars Shin'ichi Chiba as Joji Kano, a hardened police officer from Okinawa visiting Tokyo who investigates a string of serial murders and arsons.
The following weapons were used in the film Doberman Cop:
Pistols
Colt M1911A1
Revolvers
Smith & Wesson Model 29
Choei "Hotshot" Mikawa (Koichi Iwaki) carries with him an 8 3/8" barrel Smith & Wesson Model 29 throughout the movie, which is later prominently used by Joji Kano (Shin'ichi Chiba). The Model 29 stands in for Kano's signature revolver in the original manga, which was a .44 Magnum Ruger Blackhawk.
