The Wolf Pack (Volchya staya) is a 1975 Soviet war drama based on the same title story by Vasil Bykov and directed by Boris Stepanov. The plot is set in Nazi-occupied Belorussia. A partisans unit is besieged by the enemy troops at the edge of the swamp. Partisans Levchuk and Griboyed get a mission to transport Tikhonov who is nearly dying of wounds and pregnant Klava across the swamp to the safe place. The way is deadly for most of them, and only Levchuk and the newborn boy remain alive. Thirty years after the war, Levchuk meets the one whom he saved.
The following weapons were used in the film The Wolf Pack (Volchya staya):
Pistols
TT-33
Klava Shorokhina (Svetlana Kuznetsova) is armed with a TT-33 pistol.
Luger P08
Levchuk (Anatoliy Grachyov) carries a Luger P08 pistol.
Submachine Guns
PPSh-41
Wounded partisan Tikhonov (Vladimir Gritsevskiy) carries a PPSh-41. Later his PPSh is used by Levchuk (Anatoliy Grachyov). Some other partisans (notably Gennadiy Garbuk and Vladimir Antonik) also are seen with PPSh-41s.
MP40
In the opening scene Levchuk (Anatoliy Grachyov) carries an MP40 and hands it to his wounded comrade-in-arms Sasha (uncredited) in exchange for his rifle. Several other partisans, as well as many German soldiers are armed with MP40s.
MP38
Several German soldiers are armed with MP38 submachine guns.
Rifles
Mosin Nagant M1891/30
In the opening scene Levchuk (Anatoliy Grachyov) takes a Mosin Nagant M1891/30 rifle from his wounded comrade-in-arms Sasha (uncredited). Some other partisans also are seen with M91/30 rifles.
Mosin Nagant Carbine (rework)
Partisan Griboyed (Valentin Nikulin) is armed with what looks like a Mosin Nagant M1938 Carbine. But close-ups allow to see the hex receiver and the original M91 unhooded "barleycorn" front sight - features that weren't ever used on M38 Carbines, although the rear sight is the M1938 model. Supposedly this gun is a rework M1891, shortened to carbine length and fitted with M38 rear sight. Similar props can be seen in a number of Belarusfilm productions.
Karabiner 98k
Both German soldiers and partisans use Karabiner 98k rifles.
Machine Guns
Maxim M1910/30
A Maxim M1910/30 is seen in the partisans camp.
DShK
A DShK or DShKM on the anti-aircraft tripod mounting is seen in the partisans camp in a flashback scene.
Other Weapons
Model 24 Stielhandgranate
Some German soldiers carry Model 24 Stielhandgranate hand grenades.
45 mm anti-tank gun M1937 (53-K)
A destroyed 45 mm 53-K AT gun is seen on a battlefield.
