The Lost City of Z is a 2017 American action-adventure biographical film, written and directed by James Gray (The Yards). The film follows British explorer Percy Fawcett (Charlie Hunnam) during his lengthy and exhausting expedition to the jungle of the Amazon, where he accidentally encounters traces of an apparently extinct civilization, which no one has yet reported, and is soon convinced of the existence of a missing city, which he calls "Z". Upon his return home, he finds that no one believes him and that the discovery is shrouded in the brain. Forced proof of his allegations, Fawcett once again breaks into the jungle of Brazil, accompanied by his now-grown son, Jack (Tom Holland).
The following weapons were used in the film The Lost City of Z:
Revolvers
Webley Mk IV
The Webley .455 Mk IV is the most used handgun throughout the movie. It is used by Percy Fawcett (Charlie Hunnam), Henry Costin (Robert Pattinson), James Murray (Angus Macfadyen) and Arthur Manley (Edward Ashley). Jack Fawcett (Tom Holland) carries the revolver during the third expedition in 1925.
Webley-Fosbery
Henry Costin (Robert Pattinson) is briefly seen using a Webley-Fosbery Automatic Revolver during the first expedition.
Webley Mk VI
Percy Fawcett (Charlie Hunnam) uses a Webley Mk VI revolver as he serves in the British army during World War I. He also used it on his third expedition in 1925.
Rifles
Martini-Henry Mk. III Artillery Carbine
Percy Fawcett (Charlie Hunnam) uses a Martini-Henry Artillery Carbine Mark III during the deer hunting in 1905.
Martini-Henry Mk. III
Henry Costin (Robert Pattinson) and Bolivian soldiers use Martini-Henry Mk. III rifles.
Steyr Mannlicher M1888-90
A Steyr Mannlicher M1888-90 rifle is seen over Percy Fawcett's back during his first expedition in 1906 which he never actually used.
Gras Model 1874
Percy Fawcett is seen firing a Gras Model 1874 rifle at a pig.
Winchester 1892 Carbine
The personal rifle of Percy Fawcett and his team that they use through his second expedition in 1912 is a Winchester Model 1892 carbine
Lee-Enfield No.1 Mk.III*
The Lee-Enfield No.1 Mk.III* is the standard service rifle for British troops including Percy's friends during the Battle of the Somme. Some of them are fitted with Pattern 1907 sword bayonets.
Mauser Gewehr 1898
A German soldier is briefly seen with Mauser Gewehr 1898 rifle.
