The Killing was a 1956 film that starred Sterling Hayden as Johnny Clay, a career criminal planning one last heist before settling down and getting married. He has planned to rob the money counting room at the race track during a featured race. He starts to assemble his team consisting of a betting window teller, a corrupt cop, the track bartender, a wrestler and a sharpshooter.
