Help to ID

Hello, Ominae! I'm sorry, may you help me to ID some weapon here and here? Thanks! Pyramid Silent (talk) 10:37, 1 July 2015 (EDT)

May thanks for help! Now, I complited in my sandbox article Burn-Up Excess. May you help me to ID unknown firearm, plese? Thanks! Pyramid Silent (talk) 05:16, 4 July 2015 (EDT)

The Last Ship

Please, please add the gun image when creating new gun entries on the movie and tv pages. Also please add the episode title and season number in the captions of your screenshots. --Ben41 (talk) 18:37, 8 July 2015 (EDT)

Re:Inquiry

In my Blu-Ray copy this scene was on 47 m 06 sec. In some youtube copies i'm saw this scene on 39 m. Bednardos (talk) 10:00, 03 August 2015 (EET)

Diamond and the Sound of a Gunshot

Will you be completing this page? --Funkychinaman (talk) 08:09, 3 September 2015 (EDT)

I don't know if I can. It's only troubling that the lack of more screenshots. I can take some from videos, but I worry about the black bars. Ominae (talk) 00:16, 4 September 2015 (EDT)
You can always crop out black bars, instructions are in the IMFDB Screencapping Guide. Do you have this game? Does the PSP have a screencapping feature? --Funkychinaman (talk) 08:58, 4 September 2015 (EDT)
No for the first question. IIRC, the PSP doesn't have the capability to screencap it. Ominae (talk) 09:43, 4 September 2015 (EDT)
In that case, I'll move the page to the talk page. We have enough incomplete pages, there's no point creating new ones. --Funkychinaman (talk) 09:57, 4 September 2015 (EDT)
Cool with me. Maybe in the future, I'll get back to it. Ominae (talk) 08:14, 9 September 2015 (EDT)

TMNT

The M84 is a bit oversized. I can't be sure about the Thompson. --Funkychinaman (talk) 22:34, 17 September 2015 (EDT)

I see. Let me know later on again. Ominae (talk) 23:30, 17 September 2015 (EDT)
Do you have access to all the seasons of this series? It only seems to be a few weapons and firearms doesn't seem to be the emphasis of this version of TMNT. You've been doing a good job with several other series, and I think it would be better to work on those series. --Ben41 (talk) 17:12, 22 September 2015 (EDT)
Yeah, I do for the relevant episodes I have. Ominae (talk) 20:56, 22 September 2015 (EDT)
I am not completely opposed to it. I don't think it should be the first priority. --Ben41 (talk)

NCIS: Los Angeles

Thanks again for your work on NCIS: Los Angeles - Season 7 and the other seasons. You are still not linking the weapons to the weapon pages though. To save your typing time, I would suggest going to a previous NCIS page and "copy & paste" the information if the weapon had been previously been used. All the formatting has already been done, so you shouldn't have to worry about reformatting. Also, in the captions, please add the episode number and season number in addition to the episode name. You can again write out this information once and then copy & paste on additional entries. --Ben41 (talk) 17:20, 22 September 2015 (EDT)

Linking to Weapon pages

Why are you not linking your entries to the weapons pages? It doesn't seem too difficult to put [[ ]] around the weapon name and I have told you this more than one time. Please do this when making new entries. --Ben41 (talk) 20:49, 5 October 2015 (EDT)

Apologies. Its mostly laziness on my part. I'll try to avoid this in the future. Ominae (talk) 22:19, 5 October 2015 (EDT)
You were told about linking to weapon pages. Please remember to do this. --Ben41 (talk) 20:17, 10 June 2016 (EDT)

Delete requests

Please make sure images aren't in use before requesting deletion. --Funkychinaman (talk) 09:22, 24 November 2015 (EST)

Blindspot discussion

I didn't catch you had moved the content to a Season talk page prior, I re-blanked the original talk page yesterday since it's indeed redundant. Sorry for the mix-up there. StanTheMan (talk) 13:49, 30 November 2015 (EST)

Mr. Osomatsu

The objection on Mr. Osomatsu is that everything looks cartoonish, and aside from the Colt, not really that identifiable. My opinion has not changed. --Funkychinaman (talk) 10:34, 18 February 2016 (EST)

Poster Art

In the future, please don't forget to include poster art when creating a page. --Ben41 (talk) 20:31, 14 March 2016 (EDT)

You have created several pages for new media such as Training Day and Riverdale and not added any poster art. This is the second time you've been asked to do this. Please remember to do this before making any more new pages. --Ben41 (talk) 02:14, 20 February 2017 (EST)
Whoops. Sorry. Couldn't any suitable art. Ominae (talk) 02:20, 20 February 2017 (EST)
You can try searching for the show title and the word "poster". If you can't find any, you can use a screenshot of the title screen. --Ben41 (talk) 02:27, 20 February 2017 (EST)

Kamen Rider Ghost

Hello, Ominae! I'm sorry, I have some question: is the TV series Kamen Rider Ghost still currently airing. If it's not, may I remove template ongoing (if it's not contain other firearms)? Pyramid Silent (talk) 09:58, 1 June 2016 (EDT)

It's not finished yet. Ominae (talk) 09:59, 1 June 2016 (EDT)
Ok. I also add one missed gun (SAA). Pyramid Silent (talk) 10:05, 1 June 2016 (EDT)
Hello, Ominae! I'm sorry, I have some question: is this TV series currently airing now? Acording English wikipedia, it's finished at september 25. Pyramid Silent (talk) 09:37, 26 September 2016 (EDT)
It just wrapped up, so I updated the page. Ominae (talk) 10:12, 26 September 2016 (EDT)

Linking to Weapon pages A REMINDER

When creating new pages, please remember about linking your entries to the weapons pages. Again for another time, it doesn't seem too difficult to put [[ ]] around the weapon name. Please do this when making new entries. --Ben41 (talk) 18:53, 29 September 2016 (EDT)

When adding to entries to such series as Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. - Season 4, please remember about linking your entries to the weapons pages. Again for another time, it doesn't seem too difficult to put [[ ]] around the weapon name. Please do this when making new entries. --Ben41 (talk) 18:56, 12 November 2016 (EST)

You forgot the links again for 19-2 - Season 4. Please do not forget to do this in the future. Thanks. --Funkychinaman (talk) 16:12, 6 September 2017 (EDT)

Son of Zorn

If the only firearms in this TV series are those seen on posters, then this media hardly match the rules. Greg-Z (talk) 03:14, 23 November 2016 (EST)

Please create actor pages

Thanks for your work on the television pages. Just a reminder to create actor pages for "redlink" entries when you add new images. There are several "redlink"s on numerous NCIS: Los Angeles and other pages. --Ben41 (talk) 16:39, 27 February 2017 (EST)

Deceased actors

Please remember to add the Deceased Actor category when an actor dies. Thanks. --Funkychinaman (talk) 22:46, 27 June 2017 (EDT)

Link your weapons entries!

You are still not linking the weapons to the weapon pages when making new entries to television pages. This is the LAST time I will inform you about this. I don't want to tell you this again. --Ben41 (talk) 18:59, 29 September 2017 (EDT)

Persona 5

Are Persona 5 The Animation: The Daybreakers and Persona 5: The Animation the same? I googled Persona 5: The Animation, and the only hits I get back are for Persona 5 The Animation: The Daybreakers. --Funkychinaman (talk) 10:11, 29 November 2017 (EST)

NM, I figured it out. --Funkychinaman (talk) 10:28, 29 November 2017 (EST)

Fake weapons

Would you please stop uploading images of fake and airsoft versions of weapons we already have real images of? Unless the weapon in the work is actually based on a fake weapon or there are literally no decent images of a real one, you should never use a reference image of a fake. Evil Tim (talk) 11:24, 18 January 2018 (EST)

My apologies if I seemed to act like that. I may have been overboard, but I honestly do try to upload stuff that don't have a decent RL image of said weapon. Ominae (talk) 21:27, 18 January 2018 (EST)

Flashbang image

It's not very common to delete a page for being a duplicate of itself. Were you trying to do that on one of the redirect pages for it or something? Evil Tim (talk) 07:49, 21 January 2018 (EST)

I was taking out the duplicate image since I replaced it from one of the redirect pages. Ominae (talk) 08:38, 21 January 2018 (EST)
Well what you actually did was tag
File:M84-Flash-Bang-Grenade.jpg as a duplicate of
File:M84-Flash-Bang-Grenade.jpg
I think maybe you followed the redirect and tagged the wrong page? Evil Tim (talk) 09:05, 21 January 2018 (EST)
I'll check again. And if I did that, I'll make sure that I did it correctly. Ominae (talk) 21:13, 21 January 2018 (EST)

Request to add images

Hello, I want you to add an image of Black Lagoon: Roberta's Blood Trail's Episode 4 & 5. There is a shortages of scenes Roberta fights using Flintlock pistol & Charleville Musket. -KINKI'boy (talk) 21:54, 24 January 2018 (EST)

Sure. I'll go through them tomorrow since I have light work. Ominae (talk) 09:18, 24 January 2018 (EST)

NRS-2

Correct full name for this weapon would be not Special Scout Knife‎ but Scout Shooting Knife, Nozh Razvedchika Strelyaushiy (not Nozh Razvedchika Spetsialny that would be Special Scout Knife‎). Proof: Modern Firearms. Greg-Z (talk) 09:39, 27 January 2018 (EST)

Gotcha. I can probably change it tomorrow since it's late night now. Ominae (talk) 09:48, 27 January 2018 (EST)
I add some more informations (templates, see also and links to this page). Hope you have nothing against it. Pyramid Silent (talk) 10:36, 27 January 2018 (EST)
Thanks. Ominae (talk) 20:01, 27 January 2018 (EST)

Creating series pages

Please refer to the modified page for SEAL Team when making pages for television series. --Ben41 (talk) 10:42, 9 April 2018 (EDT)

Okay. I'll do my best to follow the format. Ominae (talk) 10:48, 9 April 2018 (EDT)

In the future, don't remove the synopsis from the series page when creating a title page. Also, please use the title screen for the next season instead of the same image that was used for season 1. --Ben41 (talk) 07:45, 11 April 2018 (EDT)

If you're wondering why Greg-Z undid your edits to those pages

We don't really need separate images of rifles with and without bayonets since we're here to identify just the rifle, we're not the Firearms and Cutlery Database. It's fine to identify the bayonet on it in a caption if you know what type it is, though. :) Evil Tim (talk) 03:08, 14 April 2018 (EDT)

Researching some anime fictional weapons

Hey Ominae. For a while now I've been researching about fictional anime guns, especially ones with real airsoft/model replicas. I've conclusively identified the sources of multiple anime gun replica images we have right now (many being made by Dai Nihon Giken Poseidon), and I happened upon these two images, File:Seburo_Compact-eXploder_pistol.jpg and File:ST Raphael.jpg with unknown sources. Since you uploaded these two images, do you have any sources for them? I could use the sources to give more detail about the images because I am not feeling certain right now. Thanks. --Wuzh (talk) 02:35, 15 July 2018 (EDT)

The Poseidon site for the Seburo pistol is there. As for the Raphael mock up, I can't say since it's kinda elusive. Ominae (talk) 04:14, 15 July 2018 (EDT)
The Seburo CX source is actually my source for the info, not the actual image source. I can't find the particular blue-backgrounded image on the site. While I can say with a high likelyhood that it is the Poseidon replica, there's a chance it might be somebody else's. --Wuzh (talk) 05:14, 15 July 2018 (EDT)
I'm not the one who uploaded that image. Ominae (talk) 05:26, 15 July 2018 (EDT)

NCIS and other actor page entries

Please remember to create a new actor page when adding an entry for an actor on a television page. You can use the Alexa Hamilton or Keon Alexander pages for future reference. Also, please remeber to hyperlink the gun entries when ID'ing weapons. --Ben41 (talk) 04:03, 1 October 2018 (EDT)

Magnum PI

Please remember again to create a new actor page when adding an entry for an actor when the individual has none. You haven't done this for the Magnum P.I. (2018) - Season 1 or the NCIS: New Orleans - Season 5 pages. --Ben41 (talk) 17:00, 11 October 2018 (EDT)

Last Warning

You've been told before that when you create a new series page like Whiskey Cavalier, please create a new actor page when adding an entry for an actor when the individual has none. I'm not going to tell you again. --Ben41 (talk) 17:47, 22 March 2019 (EDT)

I’ll see who doesn’t have a page at least when I can. Ominae (talk) 19:33, 22 March 2019 (EDT)
You can see all the red links on the page now. --Ben41 (talk) 20:22, 22 March 2019 (EDT)

I'm telling you again.

You've been told this before, but you need to create actor pages for those with "red" links such as Mouzam Makkar on NCIS - Season 17 --Ben41 (talk) 17:35, 25 September 2019 (EDT)

I got up just now and I saw this. On it. Ominae (talk) 04:04, 26 September 2019 (EDT)

Add cover art

Reminder to please add cover art and a synopsis to the new pages you create. --Ben41 (talk) 13:56, 28 October 2019 (EDT)

Images of weapons

Hi, I noticed something that you've been doing for a while, which is the addition of several pictures of suppressed weapons (like this one, which in fact isn't a proper M4), and many of these images don't have a clean background. These pictures are not needed at all; sure, we see various suppressed firearms in movies and TV shows, but there's no need to continuously upload pictures of literally every gun with a suppressor just because of its appearance in media. And most importantly, it's inappropriate to add reference images of suppressed weapons that are different from the screen gun (like you did here), and there's no point in adding Airsoft references images (like here), unless the weapons in the films are confirmed to be Airsoft guns. Just stick to the non-suppressed images that we already have, it's totally fine. --Ultimate94ninja (talk) 07:10, 12 January 2020 (EST)

Again, please avoid uploading such many Airsoft images. For instance, in the S.W.A.T. - Season 3 article, you added an MP5A3 AEG image just because it had rails, yet it's inappropriate, because the gun used in the show is not necessarily an Airsoft one. Just use the real image that we already have in the article, it doesn't matter if it lacks rails. --Ultimate94ninja (talk) 17:33, 13 March 2020 (EDT)

Your recent edits

Quite frankly, you're taking too many liberties recently, including inappropriately removing content from other people's messages on article talk pages, and archiving discussions that don't deserve it. Please stop this; those discussions aren't long enough to warrant archives, and in any event it's the administrators' responsibility to do such tasks, not you. --Ultimate94ninja (talk) 08:31, 19 April 2020 (EDT)

Okay. Okay. I'll be careful on that. Ominae (talk) 08:39, 19 April 2020 (EDT)
I agree, please stop. Thanks. --Funkychinaman (talk) 22:51, 19 April 2020 (EDT)
Hello Mr. Ominae, it’s a honor to finally meet you. I’ve seen the work you’ve done. It’s quite impressive. But the real reason I’m here is about the firearms for Episodes 1 & 2 of the 2017 Television series S.W.A.T: Season 6. Whatever happen to them? And from what I can tell just by watching them most of those firearms were AK Variants. If you get this message. Please reply as soon as possible.--DJBrimstorm (talk) 01:04, 6 December 2022 (UTC)

About Sword Art: Online

Hello there. I noticed that you're one of the contributors of SAO pages (Including Fatal Bullet). However, I noticed that the Alicization page had some issue which I just fixed by removing untold spoiler as per IMFDB Style Guide, added redirects for weapons, etc, while Fatal Bullet page seems to be quite "Abandoned" & I think that it needs a complete "Overhaul" in order to be more acceptable (I also told about it to Alex T Snow beforehand). I have Fatal Bullet with complete DLCs for PC while also already reached the maximum level (Level 300) & also took most screenshots of the gun models. However, I need some cooperation with you & others (Including Alex) for the "Overhaul" of Fatal Bullet page. In order to do so, then would you mind to contact me in Discord by adding my Discord username (AgentHotel#1895) into your Discord friend list first? Considering I have something to tell further about stuffs in Fatal Bullet & show the captured screenshots in there (We can also discuss & invite others in the friend list via group chat in there as well). AgentHotel (talk) 12:23, 12 September 2020 (EDT)

I don't have Discord. But I'm happy to help if possible. Ominae (talk) 08:37, 20 September 2020 (EDT)

Golden Kamuy

Hell, Golden Kamuy - Season 1, a Had notice one more gun: a Smith & Wesson Model 10. A had add it to the page. What do you think about that: is my ID correct? Pyramid Silent (talk) 07:09, 18 September 2020 (EDT)

I think so. I looked at it. Ominae (talk) 08:38, 20 September 2020 (EDT)

Hello (sorry for mistake Hell"o" at the my previously message). I had wathed the third and forth episodes of third season Golden Kamuy. I add several missed gun. Also, the forth episode depict one more good shot of Nagant (right after Sugimoto chop-off a hand of first Russian spy, the revolver falls on the floor and the grip is perfectly seen). Sadly, I hadn't sources for screenshots, so, I had only add new sections and descriptions. Pyramid Silent (talk) 11:10, 28 October 2020 (EDT)

If there's an unknown weapon that's hard to ID, better to leave it out. Ominae (talk) 22:54, 28 October 2020 (EDT)

Parallel work on the Falcon and the Winter Soldier page

Hey,Ominae. I noticed some problems with saving my edits on the page, due to the fact that you made your own parallel edits. After checking the recent changes, I noticed a lot of duplicate screenshots from you, considering that I started uploading screenshots about half an hour before you did. Please pay attention to the recent changes next time so that this does not happen again. For the future, I always start working on the MCU series on Friday when a new episode comes out. It was with WandaVision, so it will continue. Thanks. Pustelga7 (talk) 11:41, 19 March 2021 (EDT)

  • I did mine early, mind you. Ominae (talk) 11:54, 19 March 2021 (EDT)
It is. Cause your edits are much more superficial. Pustelga7 (talk) 12:06, 19 March 2021 (EDT)

Resident Evil: Village

I've noticed that a bunch of the screencaps you've uploaded to the Resident Evil: Village article have very noticeable image compression artifacts. It would be appreciated if you could upload clearer screencaps, or leave that to people who can.--Aidoru (talk) 18:17, 8 May 2021 (EDT)

Hey, I’m doing the best I can with whatever’s out there. Most of the screenshots I made are clear. The rest... well I'm blaming something else. Ominae (talk) 20:35, 8 May 2021 (EDT)
