Breakdown is a 1997 thriller starring Kurt Russell as Jeff, a mild-mannered husband who finds himself in the middle of the Arizona desert in search of his wife, who disappears after accepting a ride from a stranger after their car breaks down. The film was written and directed by Jonathan Mostow, who went on to direct U-571 and Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines.

Beretta 92FS
The Beretta 92FS is held by Earl (M.C. Gainey) when questioning Jeff Taylor (Kurt Russell). Taylor himself also uses this gun for a good part of the film. A Beretta is also used by Al (Ritch Brinkley) during the chase.
SIG-Sauer P226
When Jeff (Kurt Russell) goes to the home of Red (J.T. Walsh), he finds a SIG-Sauer P226 in a glove compartment, which he later uses to threaten Red. It's also seen in the hands of Billy (Jack Noseworthy).
Beretta 950 Jetfire
A Beretta 950 Jetfire with ivory grips is pulled by Earl (M.C. Gainey) from his boot.
Smith & Wesson Model 28
Sheriff Boyd (Rex Linn) pulls a Smith & Wesson Model 28 revolver when he pulls Jeff over.
Mossberg 500 "Cruiser"
Earl (M.C. Gainey) is also seen holding a Mossberg 500 Cruiser shotgun w/Pachmayr Vindicator grip and forend kit, as Jeff is questioned by Red. Billy (Jack Noseworthy) uses the same shotgun near the climax.
