Manila Skies (Filipino: Himpapawid - "Sky") is a 2009 psychological thriller-drama starring Raul Arellano as Raul, an impoverished laborer in the slums of Manila whose living conditions, work, and surrounding pressure cause him to form a plan to hijack a plane. This film was directed by Raymond Red, father of Filipino film director Mikhail Red. The film is based on the true story of the 2000 hijacking of Philippine Airlines Flight 812.
