The Equalizer 2 is a 2018 sequel to 2014's feature film adaptation of the 1980s television series of the same name. Denzel Washington reprises his role (returning in his first sequel to one of his films) as former US agent Robert McCall, who finds himself reunited with some of his old associates when one of his former bosses is found brutally murdered. The cast includes Pedro Pascal and Ashton Sanders as well as returning cast members Bill Pullman and Melissa Leo. Antoine Fuqua returns as director, marking the latest of four collaborations with Washington, following Training Day (2001), and The Magnificent Seven (2016) and the original 2014 film.

The primary plot line of the film begins with an assassination in Belgium. The hit is staged as a murder-suicide using the victim’s licensed Browning Hi-Power.
