Kick-Ass is the 2010 feature film adaptation of the Mark Millar/John Romita, Jr. comic book series of the same name. Directed by Matthew Vaughn, the film stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson as a nerdy high school teenager who one day decides to fight crime as a masked superhero, despite his lack of powers, training, or any reason to do so. The film's cast included Nicolas Cage, Mark Strong, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, and Chloe Moretz. The sequel Kick-Ass 2 was released in 2013.

A heavily modified Armsel Protecta is used by one of the mobsters shooting at Hit Girl during the finale. It differs from most examples of the weapon due to having a muzzle brake, a M1913 rail over the drum and the back half of the weapon modified to take a M4 style stock.

The trigger/firing mechanism looks like the frame of a H&K MK23 pistol mated to the lower receiver of a H&K MP5 sub machinegun. Many other details differ from the real weapon upon close inspection.
