The Hitman's Bodyguard is a 2017 action comedy directed by Patrick Hughes (The Expendables 3) and stars Ryan Reynolds as Michael Bryce, a former world class protection agent who finds himself hired to protect Darius Kincaid (Samuel L. Jackson), a notorious assassin and mortal enemy of Bryce, who is on his way to the International Criminal Court and also who happens to have a bounty placed on his head by the ruthless dictator he is due to testify against. Reynolds and Jackson would reprise their roles along with Salma Hayek and Antonio Banderas in the 2021 sequel Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard.
