SIG-Sauer MCX Spear
The MCX Spear is variant unveiled in 2019 and designed for the United States Army's Next Generation Squad Weapon program. It is based on the MCX-MR, SIG-Sauer's previous unsuccessful submission for the Compact Semi-Automatic Sniper System program.
A carbine version with an 8" barrel was previously displayed in late 2018, and was revealed in late 2021 under the name MCX Raptor.
