The Old Guard is a 2020 Netflix adaptation of the graphic novel by Greg Rucka (author) and Leandro Fernandez (artist). Rucka wrote the screenplay for the film, which was directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood. Charlize Theron stars as Andy, the leader of an unnamed band of immortal warriors. Conceptually, the film combines elements of the popular Highlander franchise with the modern John Wick sensibility, presenting an entertaining take on the fantasy of humans that don't age and can't be killed. In a nod to the characters' extreme age (the main characters are all at least several hundred years old) several of them use quasi-historical weapons as well as contemporary firearms.
The following weapons were used in the film The Old Guard:
Pistols
Beretta 92FS
The Beretta 92FS pistol (standing in for the Beretta M9) is carried by Marine Corps MPs.
Glock 17
Most of Merrick's men use Glock 17 pistols, some of which are confiscated and used by the main characters.
Glock in CAA Micro RONI
Andy uses a CAA Micro RONI with a Glock pistol and what appears to be airsoft G&G 556 holographic sight.
Heckler & Koch HK45
Booker briefly uses an Heckler & Koch HK45.
Heckler & Koch USP Compact
Joe (Marwan Kenzari) carries a Heckler & Koch USP Compact with stainless slide as his sidearm. The pistol switches hand several times, and Nile later uses the weapon during the final battle
Makarov PM
A Russian pilot brings a Makarov PM (actually probably a Norinco Type 59 stand-in) onto an airplane, where it is taken by Nile.
SIG-Sauer P226
Andy holds a prop SIG-Sauer P226 with a very obviously plugged barrel.
Submachine Guns
Heckler & Koch MP7
The Heckler & Koch MP7 is another weapon used by Merrick's security teams, and are frequently taken by the main characters for their own use
Assault Rifles
IMI Tavor TAR-21
Booker uses an IMI Tavor TAR-21 during the raid in Sudan. He is also shown holding it on the movie poster.
M4A1
United States Marines, including Nile (Kiki Lane) and her team, carry M4A1 carbines. Most are fitted with vertical foregrips, ACOG scopes, and PEQ-15 lasers
Heckler & Koch G36
The Heckler & Koch G36 is another weapon used by Merrick's goons, and is thus frequently "borrowed" from former users by the team.
Heckler & Koch HK416
Heckler & Koch HK416s are heavily used by Merrick's security forces and are frequently appropriated by Andy's team during the final battle
Norinco Type 56-1
Sudanese militia and Afghan smugglers are armed with Norinco Type 56-1 rifles.
AK-47
The Afghan bombmaker Niles shoots carries an AK-47 (or possibly Type 56, the muzzle is never seen) assault rifle.
"AKMSU"
An Afghani smuggler carries what appears to be an AKMSU assault rifle
SIG-Sauer MCX
Keane (Joey Ansah), Merrick's head of security, carries a SIG-Sauer MCX carbine with EOTech sight during the final battle.
Sniper Rifles
PGM Ultima Ratio
Nicky uses a suppressed PGM Ultima Ratio to cover Andy's meet with Copely and later during the Sudan mission
Explosives
Hand grenades
Merrick's forces carry some sort of cylindrical concussion grenade sometimes appropriated by Andy.
FN Mk 13 EGLM
Keane (Joey Ansah) uses an FN Mk 13 EGLM in standalone configuration during the finale.
Shotguns
Unknown Shotgun
Nicky carries a shotgun during the Sudan mission, though it is never seen clearly.
Machine Guns
M2 Machine gun
A Browning M2 heavy machine gun is seen mounted on a drug smuggler's technical.
MG42
A MG42 machine gun is briefly seen in a cave hideout.
