The following weapons were used in the animated film The Iron Giant:
Browning M2HB Heavy Machine Gun
Near the end of the film, U.S. Army vehicles (primarily M41 Walker Bulldog tanks) can be seen fitted with Browning M2HB heavy machine guns when attacking the Iron Giant (Vin Diesel), mistakenly believing he was attacking the town of Rockwell.
Browning M3 Heavy Machine Gun
In addition to the Army, the U.S. Air Force also becomes involved in the attack against the Iron Giant, sending F-86 Sabre fighter jets to try to destroy him, using missiles and built-in Browning M3 heavy machine guns to eventually shoot him down, but not destroy him.
Browning M1919 Machine Gun
Another weapon used by the Army, the Jeep used to transport General Rogard (John Mahoney) and government agent Kent Mansley (Christopher McDonald) is fitted with a Browning M1919 machine gun.
M20 "Super Bazooka"
The first weapon fired at the Iron Giant by the Army, several soldiers can be seen armed with M20 "Super Bazooka" rocket launchers.
M1911A1
General Rogard carries an M1911A1 and it's mostly seen in his holster as well as when he uses it to shoot the Iron Giant.
M1 Garand
An M1 Garand is seen used by a soldier when Rogard's jeep stops after the Iron Giant approuches town from the forest while destroying tanks.
M1903 Springfield
The M1903 Springfield are used by several U.S. military personal and most are seen when the Iron Giant attacks the Army. These are highly anachronistic however, since the film is set in the 1950's and the M1903 had been completely phased out by this point except in a sniper capacity, which these weapons clearly are not. I believe these are M1 Garands with Grenade Launchers that the soldier has hard to say since the illustrating is bad on this movie. But in 1950's it would be M1 Garands. -Phoenixent
Actually, they are not garands. These rifles are not semi automatic and they fire and load a round in it. 76.205.250.214
M1 Carbine
A U.S. soldier was armed with a M1 Carbine during the first attack on the Iron Giant.
