Most of the primary characters use Glock pistols. In many shots they are fakes, replicas, or rubber stunt pistols. In firing sequences, it is assumed they are Glock 17s, which is one of the issued handguns of the NYPD.
The show was a bit notorious for swapping guns mid scene. Many characters would enter a room with one pistol and in the next shot have a different one (continuity break). However, some of the characters did manage to carry the same firearm throughout the entire episode (or multiple episodes). Some of the characters did carry the Glock 19, though many times they swapped it mid-episode with Glock 17s.

In Season 2 Episode 06 "The Mystery of the Dead Heat", though hard to see since the scene is very dark, a pair of Russian mobsters are caught by the SWAT and forced to drop their weapons. One has an Uzi Pistol and the other has a MAC-10 (visible through careful review of the frames)
