The following weapons were used in the video game Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake:
Beretta 92F
Snakes Standard sidearm in most of the Metal Gear games is the Beretta 92F. Found very early in the game in a truck. Can later be fitted with a suppressor if found. The manual also mentions that the Beretta 92F was also a standard weapon of FOXHOUND, alongside the MAC-11.
MAC-11
The MAC-11 is the standard Submachine Gun in the first two games in the series. Very inaccurate, it's found in the first basement. Can later be fitted with a suppressor. The manual also mentions that the MAC-11 was also a standard weapon of FOXHOUND, alongside the Beretta 92F.
FIM-92A Stinger
The FIM-92A Stinger missile is unusual in that it can attack any enemy on the radar, even if they are off screen, by targeting them on the radar screen located in the upper right of the screen. The main use in game is to defeat a Hind helicopter boss. Can be used elsewhere, and is useful if you run out of grenades when fighting "Red Blaster". The Hind D that Snake fought against, alongside the tanks, according to the manual, also utilized Stingers itself, which made its defeat especially ironic.
M47 Dragon
The Remote controlled M47 Dragon missile is found halfway through the game. It's useful when trying to take out enemies from a distance with out revealing your location.
Plastic Explosive
Useful for blowing up sealed walls and doors. Can be set to "Timer" or "Remote". The type used is M5A1.
M 78 Landmine
Can be collected by crawling over mines that have been already set (the first game to do this). Useful for taking out guards, and essential for taking out a boss known as "The Running Man". They are invisible once set unless the mine detector is equipped.
M68 hand grenade
The M68 hand grenade is aimed by using a white targeting reticule it can be thrown over walls and is essential in beating the Boss known as "Red Blaster".
Mk 2 hand grenade
The load screen for Metal Gear 2 shows the original Fox Hound logo, a cartoony fox with a MAC-10 and Mk 2 hand grenade.
RKG-3 anti-tank grenade
The RKG-3 anti-tank grenade is model of grenade carried by a grenade throwing boss called Red Blaster.
Rocky Mountain Arms Patriot Pistol
The Rocky Mountain Arms Patriot Pistol was utilized by Big Boss in the final battle with him. Its appearance and comparison with The Boss's patriot from Metal Gear Solid 3, Metal Gear Solid 4, and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker suggests that it was the same weapon.
Steyr AUG
The standard issue firearm of the Zanzibar Land forces, issued from 1998 onward, replacing the Enfield L85A1. They cannot be procured by the player, and they will be used on alert mode.
The graphics of the game do not make the make of the gun apparent, but the game's manual establishes that this is the weapon system they are seen with.
YakB-12.7 12.7mm gatling gun / GSh-23L 23mm cannon
This weapon system was utilized by the Hind boss. The game does not specify which of the two is being used, but the manual mentions that the Zanzibar Land Hinds utilized either the YakB or the GSh-23L.
52mm missile pod
The Hind boss utilized this weapons system against Snake. According to the manual, it utilized 132 rounds each for four types of missiles, including AT-2 Swatter anti-tank missiles, AT-6 Spiral anti-tank missiles, Sagar anti-tank missiles, and, ironically (considering how it was shot down), Stinger anti-aircraft missiles.
Type 67 machine gun
The Zanzibar Land mercenary Night Fright/Night Sight had appropriately utilized a Type 67 machine gun to attack Snake.
