:I mean, I don't think it'd be a problem if you want to, but it's not all that necessary. The M1883 is just an M1879 with a shorter barrel and grip; we've certainly had more dissimilar weapons from the same series on one page before - it'd be similar to, say, the infantry rifle and cavalry carbine versions of a military breechloader or bolt-action being on the same page. - I mean, I don't think it'd be a problem if you want to, but it's not all that necessary. The M1883 is just an M1879 with a shorter barrel and grip; we've certainly had more dissimilar weapons from the same series on one page before - it'd be similar to, say, the infantry rifle and cavalry carbine versions of a military breechloader or bolt-action being on the same page.
