It was used extensively by Polish Special Ops units and Airborne units, as well as special police divisions during the Cold War. Trivia
The PM-63 was not actually used in Red Dawn contrary to many inaccurate reports. The character of Colonel Strelnikov used a Finnish Jatimatic 9mm submachine gun, since the filmmakers at the time could not acquire a real PM63 due to the Cold War and subsequent import ban on Combloc weapons during the 1970s & 1980s.
