Star Wars: The Last Jedi, also known as Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi, is the eighth main series film in the Star Wars film franchise, and the second film of the "Sequel Trilogy", following The Force Awakens. The film is directed by Rian Johnson and was released in December 2017. A sequel, The Rise of Skywalker, was released in 2019.
The "Eirriss Ryloth Defense Tech Glie-44 blaster pistol", based on the SIG-Sauer P226, is used by Resistance members, including Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac) and Finn (John Boyega).
In The Last Jedi, Finn (John Boyega), Rose Tico (Kelly Marie Tran), DJ (Benicio del Toro), Captain Phasma (Gwendoline Christie), and General Armitage Hux (Domhnall Gleeson) use the "Sonn-Blas SE-44C blaster pistol". Phasma's SE-44C, like the rest of her gear, is polished with a chromium finish.
Like in The Force Awakens, First Order Stormtroopers are armed with "Sonn-Blas F-11D blaster rifles", derived from the design of the original trilogy's BlasTech E-11 blaster rifles, which are themselves modified from Sterling SMGs.
During the Battle of Crait, several Resistance soldiers are armed with the "BlasTech DH-17 blaster rifle", which uses the Sterling SMG for the main blaster but with an M4 style stock attached to it. Leia is seen using one with the stock removed.
The Resistance uses the "BlasTech EL-16 blaster rifle" and "BlasTech EL-16HFE (Heavy Field Edition) blaster rifle". Both are based on the Heckler & Koch G36C. They are used by Resistance soldiers in the trench during the Battle of Crait.
