The Diamond Arm (Brilliantovaya Ruka) (1968) is a cult classic Soviet crime comedy about misadventures of a Soviet tourist (Yuri Nikulin) who suddenly becomes a figure in a smuggling operation, when in Turkey his broken arm is plastered not only with a plaster, but also with gold and diamonds. When he contacts the authorities, he becomes a target for two unfortunate smugglers (Anatoli Papanov and Andrei Mironov).
The following weapons were used in the film The Diamond Arm (Brilliantovaya Ruka):
Handguns
Beretta M1934
Militsiya Lt. Volodya (Vladimir Gulyaev) gives a blank-loaded Beretta M1934 to Semyon Gorbunkov (Yuri Nikulin).
Handguns in smugglers' den
A number of handguns is seen on the wall in the smugglers' den in the pharmacy in Istanbul:
- 1. Steyr 1912
- 3. Mauser C96
- 4. Luger P08
- 5. Smith & Wesson .44 Double Action, nickel plated with pearl grips (most likely not original S&W but a European, possibly Spanish clone)
- 6. An antique pistol, possibly Wheellock
- 7. Flintlock Pistol, most likely a Russian Cavalry Private's Model 1839
- 8. Flintlock cavalry carbine, most likely a Russian cavalry Stutzer (rifled carbine).
Long Guns
Karabiner 98k
A Karabiner 98k rifle is seen on the wall in the smugglers' den.
Mockup long gun
One more long gun on the wall turns out to be a generic mockup of a sort of a flintlock carbine.
