A Police Commissioner Accuses (Un comisar acuză) is a 1974 Romanian crime movie directed by Sergiu Nicolaescu and starring himself as Police Commissioner Tudor Moldovan. The story takes place in 1940 in Bucharest, Romania. Commissioner Moldovan investigates an organized massacre in the prison where a group of arrested opposition leaders are killed. The murderers belong to the powerful pro-Nazi Iron Guard organisation (also known as "Legion"), so Moldovan has to confront the legionnaires and personally one of their leaders, the former criminal Paraipan (Gheorghe Dinica).
The main character of the movie also appears in a serie of crime movies filmed in 1970s. A Police Commissioner Accuses is followed by Revenge (1978), and The Duel (1981) is a prequel for these movies.
The following weapons were used in the film A Police Commissioner Accuses (Un comisar acuza):
The personal weapon of Police Commissioner Tudor Moldovan (Sergiu Nicolaescu) is a Smith & Wesson Victory Model revolver. Same revolvers are also seen in hands of Iron Guard legionnaires.
