A Police Commissioner Accuses (Un comisar acuză) is a 1974 Romanian crime movie directed by Sergiu Nicolaescu and starring himself as Police Commissioner Tudor Moldovan. The story takes place in 1940 in Bucharest, Romania. Commissioner Moldovan investigates an organized massacre in the prison where a group of arrested opposition leaders are killed. The murderers belong to the powerful pro-Nazi Iron Guard organisation (also known as "Legion"), so Moldovan has to confront the legionnaires and personally one of their leaders, the former criminal Paraipan (Gheorghe Dinica).
The main character of the movie also appears in a serie of crime movies filmed in 1970s. A Police Commissioner Accuses is followed by Revenge (1978), and The Duel (1981) is a prequel for these movies.
The following weapons were used in the film A Police Commissioner Accuses (Un comisar acuza):
Handguns
Smith & Wesson Victory Model
The personal weapon of Police Commissioner Tudor Moldovan (Sergiu Nicolaescu) is a Smith & Wesson Victory Model revolver. Same revolvers are also seen in hands of Iron Guard legionnaires.
Arminius HW-3
An Arminius HW-3 revolver is a favored weapon of Paraipan (Gheorghe Dinica). This gun is anachronistic for 1940.
Mauser M712 Schnellfeuer
Mauser M712 Schnellfeuer pistols with 10-round magazines are used by Iron Guard legionnaires during the massacre at the prison and in several other scenes. During the investigation of the crime a police expert correctly identifies the bullets as "caliber 7.63mm, most likely Mauser".
Steyr M1912
Tănăsescu (Mircea Pascu), Moldovan's assistant who is actually an Iron Guard member, carries two Steyr M1912 pistols.
FN Model 1922
FN Model 1922 pistols are briefly seen in several scenes.
Submachine guns

MP38
MP38 submachine guns are also used by Iron Guard legionnaires, but they are seen less often then MP40s.

Shotguns
Double Barreled Shotgun
In one scene a double barreled shotgun can be seen in hands of a hunter who was a witness of a murder in the forest.
Rifles
Romanian contract Vz. 24 Rifle
Prison guards are armed with Romanian contract Vz. 24 rifles.
