His Dark Materials is a British-American television series adaptation of Philip Pullman's seminal novel series of the same name. The series follows the coming of age of two children, Lyra Belacqua and Will Parry, as they wander through a series of parallel universes. The novel series had previously adapted as the 2007 feature film The Golden Compass. The series premiered in November of 2019 on the BBC in the UK and HBO in the US.
