This semiauto pistol, inspired in the [[SIG-Sauer P220 pistol series]], is the last version of the series initiated by Astra (Unceta) with the model A-80 (produced 1982-1989), and followed by the models A-90 (1986-1990) and A-100 (1990-2006). They have been made in several calibers: 9 mm Parabellum, .38 Super Auto, .45 ACP. .40 S&W, and even 7.65 mm Parabellum (only the A-80).
