I thought the original BAN on rotary shotguns was based on the design, not by name. Patent rights to produce and sell the Striker in the United States was purchased from Armsel by Grant W. Stapleton of Sentinel Arms Corporation in the early eighties; who then upgraded the shotgun to commercial U.S. standards. The Streetsweeper was a cheap knock-off copy of the earlier South African Stryker, which experienced mechanical and catastrophic failures when fired with U.S. shotgun loads.
