Combat Hospital was a Canadian-produced medical drama that focused on the multinational medical personnel operating out of the military hospital at the Kandahar Air Field in Afghanistan. Set in 2006, the series aired for one season on Global Television in Canada and ABC in the United States.
The following weapons were used in the television series Combat Hospital:
The Inglis Hi-Power is the standard sidearm for all Canadian Forces soldiers/officers in Kandahar and are often seen in their leg holsters. Hospital commander Colonel Xavier Marks (Elias Koteas) and Major Rebecca Gordon (Michelle Borth) are the notable CF officers who use them in Kandahar.
Colt Canada C7A2 rifles with foregrips are used by Canadian soldiers throughout the series, including Regimental Sergeant Major Graham Kelly (Gord Rand). Closer inspection reveals the rifles to be Classic Army airsoft replicas, modified with the addition of M4-style collapsible stocks and Elcan sights to resemble the C7A2.
Col. Marks is also seen with a Colt Canada C8A3 carbine when he's not needed in the operating rooms. Some CA soldiers use them depending on circumstances.
A Canadian Army MP searching for an escaped Taliban insurgent has a Colt Canada C7A1 in "Shifting Sands". Some CA soldiers use them depending on circumstances.
The M4A1 Carbine is seen in the hands of American soldiers throughout the series, most notably in the hands of U.S. Air Force Pararescue Jumpers
Terrel Ford (Dwain Murphy) and Talwar Mehra (Karan Oberoi).
A Steyr AUG rifle, standing in for the F88 Austeyr, is carried by Australian Army Major Grace Pedersen (Deborah Kara Unger) when she leaves the base to visit the women's clinic in Kandahar. Australian soliders stationed in Kandahar Airfield use it from time to time.
Soldiers from the German contingent in Kandahar are armed with Heckler & Koch G36K rifles.
