:Hey Oliveira, I was going to answer you but I was beat to the punch on it. Now you know who he is and he does alot of different things in the industry. It's funny that I might not be on set but I could still be part of a show working on these guns. The amount of gunsmiths in the industry is pretty small. -[[User:Phoenixent|Steve]]

You mentioned that I should try using VLC Media Player to screencap movies.  Is that a program that can be downloaded or purchased from a store or what?  Also, how much would it cost and is it easy to use?

Your to do list

Did you even check to see if others had already done those page?MoviePropMaster2008 17:52, 2 January 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, quite a few of those are already done. However, to be fair, my RoboCop and Blood Diamond pages are filled up mostly with screenshots from AVI rips of the movies, which is something I no longer do nowadays when I'm screencapping pages. If you have the DVDs of those movies and want to replace my low-res shots with higher-res versions, that's fine by me. -MT2008 18:05, 2 January 2009 (UTC)

Predator 2

Do you need help doing the links to the gun pages? I would recommend you look at other movie pages that have the same guns as in Predator, and copy and paste the text that links their pages. For instance, Patriot Games has the MP5A2, so you could hit "Edit" and copy-and-paste that text.

I don´t need help with that.- Oliveira 19:48, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
Don't ask me permission to replace the images. Go to it. I just did one test of an image to see how the size changed. It went from 703 KB to the low 200s. MoviePropMaster2008 22:42, 14 January 2009 (UTC)

The Dirty Dozen

I noticed you have Dirty Dozen on your to-do list. So do I. Do you want to do it or can I? It was actually the next movie I was going to do after End of Days. - Gunmaster45

Same with Great Escape, that was after DD.

Re: Thank You

No problem, just doing my job. Canned the user who posted it as well. Orca1 9904 19:20, 23 February 2009 (UTC)

Copyright violation

THANKS! I really appreciate it when IMFDB users give me heads up when other people are pirating my photos. Sure, I'm being a bit of a dick about it but copyright violation is a serious matter and I hate it when some guy uploads my photo and 'claims' it as his own. Thanks again! After all I shot all these images FOR IMFDB. I sent the guy a note to remove the image or else I would report it to the mods. Thanks again! :) MoviePropMaster2008 22:10, 3 May 2009 (UTC)

We Were Soldiers

Hey Oliveira, I id'ed the weapons in the screencaps on the talk page for you. Let me know if you need any thing else on We Were Soldiers. Also I will find out what the French Officers handgun was during the week. - Steve

Re: Model 24 Stielhandgranate

According to Wikipedia, the Model 24 Stielhandgranate was in service from the end of World War I through the end of World War II. Hope that answers your question. Orca1 9904 17:50, 15 May 2009 (UTC)

Barack Obama

I am probably the only one that likes him here.

No, man you aren't. My truck proudly displays a "Veteran for Obama" sticker. So don't take any shit off people for being a pro-gun Liberal. Thomas Jefferson was a pro-gun liberal, as was the late, great Hunter S. Thompson. Keep your powder dry! -J --DOHC Holiday 22:20, 25 May 2009 (UTC)

I don't hate Obama either. Its refreshing to have a president who isn't an incompetent fool. I also don't believe what people are saying about him trying to ban guns. It would be a stupid move on his part to go against what the majority of the U.S populace wants and it would cost too much (they'd have to pay for every gun taken and many people would be without jobs if the firearms industry was shut down. S&Wshooter 23:46, 26 May 2009 (UTC)

Yay! i though that some anonymous stupid Ultra fundie conservative was gonna come in here bash my head in with rocks. Nice to see that there are no conservatives like the ones in conservapedia in here. Hell, all the conservatives in here are good guys too.Oliveira 23:49, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
I don't vote based on party. If the candidate is a stupid d-bag, I won't vote for them, but if I determine them to be worth it I would, if I could vote-S&Wshooter 00:19, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
That's how you vote!Oliveira 00:29, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
That's not how alot of people vote. Many people are mindless sheep-S&Wshooter 01:07, 2 June 2009 (UTC)

I'm a supporter for most of Obama's policies, but I can't believe he is trying to do something as ridiculous as this. -500Magnum

Hope you don't mind, Oliveira, but I moved the discussion from your user page to your talk page.
As far as Obama goes, I don't like him, don't consider myself a liberal, and am less than enthusiastic about his presidency, but I don't think it's going to be as bad as many of my fellow conservatives believe. Obama is still a politician who is bound by the limits of presidential politics in this country. We aren't going to wake up one day and find that America is now the Democratic Republic of Obamastan just because he got elected. (and I know I'm preaching to the choir on this) -MT2008 04:16, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
Thanks MT2008. I have some things i don't like about him such as the fact that he has done nothing about nuclear weapons. He said that we should pursue a "world without nuclear weapons"(and that's a quote) but he still has done nothing about them.Oliveira 15:44, 28 May 2009 (UTC)

Too many screencaps

I Don't know if you've been following this debate on IMFDB but there is actually a limit on how many screencaps are useful on a page. When you have too many screencaps, especially of the same gun, it is no longer educational, but painful to scroll down endlessly to get to the next section. Just thought you should know that too many screenshots is not encouraged. Thanks :) MPM2008

I try to keep a 10 or 15 screencap limit but sometimes i fuck up. I am sorry.Oliveira 17:34, 29 May 2009 (UTC)

About the Pig in Crysis

Thanks. I found out that the gun in Crysis is an M60D actually. -Lisle202

Write your responses to the correct person!

You're now the THIRD person to respond to someone's comment on MY talk page. If you want to comment on something they wrote, write it on THEIR page or else they won't see it. When addressing someone don't write on my talk page. You guys are talking about stuff I don't care anything about and thus your points are lost :) MoviePropMaster2008 20:18, 10 June 2009 (UTC)

SPAS 12

You're completely wrong about the SPAS 12. I have no interest in video games, however, the SPAS appears in MOVIE and TV shows all the time, thus it has a place on IMFDB. I think you completely missed the point I was making. I don't like having weapons which don't exist in movie armories on IMFDB, I could care less about whether any 'group' would use them in a Video Game. Again, the XM-8 (or decent enough copies of it) have appeared in movies, thus it BELONGS on imfdb. What I don't like are all those new age Russian weapons like the AN94 or the KSVK sniper rifle. etc. Until I see them in a MOVIE or TV show, I don't care to know about them. There are tons of weird experimental weapons that belong on GUN sites like guns of the world or Gunpedia, but not IMFDB. I know I can't ignore the VG portion, but personally, I think the VG designers insisting on using real world guns but weapons that no one even has good pictures of, irritating. RE Hey AdAstra

Hi, The reason why alot of my caps don't have captions are that for some screencaps adding captions would be redundant as it may be obvious on what is occuring in the screencap. I usually add captions on the first one though. --AdAstra2009 21:19, 12 June 2009 (UTC)
