Vicious Circle (Original title: Suletud ring, Russian: Замкнутый круг, Zamknutyy krug) is a 1983 Soviet Estonian made for TV movie, based on the novel "Someone ought to mourn" by the Swedish writer K. Arne Blom. In a small Swedish town, Mr. Fromm, the owner of a public relations research firm, is murdered. A day later, his friend Turen, the commissioner of police investigating, also is killed. Then police investigator Holmberg begins an his own investigation.
The following weapons were used in the film Vicious Circle (Suletud ring):
Nagant M1895
During the murder of Mr. Fromm, the killer uses Nagant M1895 (probably standing on Swedish M1887 variant).
Tokarev TT-33
Police investigator Holmberg (Arvo Kukumägi) uses TT-33 pistol (perhaps standing on the similar FN Model 1903/Swedish Husqvarna M1907, as in several other films) during an ambush scene.
Colt Pocket Revolver Clone
Holmberg seen at the end of the movie with a revolver, which is very reminiscent the Colt pocket revolvers, such as the 1st/2nd gen Detective Special, but with a number of unusual features in the form of a high/fixed rear sight, and a right-side cylinder latch. From this it can be assumed that this is most likely the some European pocket revolver (most likely Belgian, Spanish, or French-produced), close to later swing-out cylinder Velo-Dogs (more info: [1], [2]), but heavily influenced by Colt's design.
Walther PPK
Petra (Alice Podelski) in the end of the movie carries the Walther PPK.
