PASKAL The Movie is a 2018 Malaysian military film directed by Adrian Teh, produced by Asia Tropical Films, Golden Screen Cinemas, Multimedia Entertainment, Granatum Ventures and Astro Shaw. Starring Hairul Azreen as Lieutenant Commander Arman Anuar, as he deals with trials and tribulations of being in one of the country's elite forces, the PASKAL (Pasukan Khas Laut). After a peacekeeping mission in Angola that results in one of his closest teammate dead and another dishonorably discharged, he is about to request for a transfer when he is needed one last time for a very dangerous mission - made worse by the return of a rival, and things soon turn personal. This movie also stars Tiger Chen Hu (John Wick 3, The Matrix Reloaded, Man of Tai Chi) as Chinese U.N Sgt Chen Han during mission in Angola.
Parts of the movie is inspired by the bravery and heroism of the Royal Malaysian Navy (TLDM) special ops, referencing the true story of PASKAL operatives during their duties as United Nations in Angola in 1998 and the success of recovering the seized MV Bunga Laurel's trade vessel in Gulf of Aden in 2011, dubbed Operation Dawn 8.
The filming of this film costs RM10 million. Shooting is conducted at several locations within and outside the country, such as Lumut, Perak; Semporna, Sabah and Istanbul, Turkey.

The Glock 17 is the main sidearm of Lieutenant Arman Anuar and many other PASKAL operatives.

'Jeb' can be seen carrying a M1911A1 as his sidearm of choice after going rogue. He is seen taunting the PASKAL operatives with the pistol in his waistbelt during the market recon.
Beretta 92FS
The Beretta 92FS is the sidearm of the UN personnel backing up Arman's group, which Lieutenant 'Jeb' takes one from them during the shootout against Angolan militias.

An AK-47 without stock used by a group of Angolan militia during Arman's UNIVEM mission.
AK-74
During the film's opening raid, an AK-74 is used by a few Somali pirates in the Gulf of Aden. The terrorist leader, Rudy (Amerul Affendi) are also seen with this rifle as his group are captures the oilrig in the coast of Sulu, Sabah.
Colt M4A1
The Colt M4A1 is a standard assault rifles for Malaysian Armed Forces, featured in the film as the weapon for PASKAL trainees during their selection course. Rudy's men are also seen using railed M4A1's without carrying handle.
Heckler & Koch HK416
The standard service rifle for majority of PASKAL operatives is the Heckler & Koch HK416 carbines. The rifles are fitted with Aimpoint M68 Collimated Combat Optic (CCO), Brügger & Thomet suppressor, Oerlikon Contraves LLM01 Laser Light Module and M320 GLM. In the film's behind the scenes, it is shown with 14.5 inch barrel, Aimpoint M68 CCO and Magpul MOE Carbine Stock.
