MacGyver is the 2016 television "reboot" of the popular 1980's ABC adventure series that starred Richard Dean Anderson. In the reboot, Lucas Till stars as the titular character, who works for the Phoenix Foundation, a secret US government organization where he solves problems during missions using ordinary everyday items. While this MacGyver still has an aversion to firearms, the other members of his team have no problem using them. MacGyver premiered in the US on CBS in 2016 and is being produced by Peter M. Lenkov, who also helped launch the 2010 remake of Hawaii Five-0 (The two series had a crossover in Season 1). The cast includes George Eads and Isabel Lucas.
