The Death of Stalin is a 2017 satirical black comedy directed by Armando Iannucci (The Thick of It, In the Loop, Veep) and based on the French graphic novel La mort de Staline. Set in 1953 Soviet Union, the film depicts the power struggle following the death of Joseph Stalin.
